My Garden
"My garden is my most beautiful masterpiece." -- Claude Monet
Without his beautiful gardens, so many of Claude Monet's beautiful works would have never been created. Not that my garden compares to his, but I still find mine beautiful and inspirational. Here are some of my flowers that have bloomed, my later bloomers have not come out yet.....more to come when they arrive.

More on Monet
I didn't post this yesterday, because I felt that the copy of this painting that I found on the Internet, did the original little justice. However, I was just so impressed with this exhibit, I had to post something. I can not begin you tell you; the magnificence of Monet's works is truly unbelievable. You really have to see them to believe it. I strongly recommend getting there this week if you can, for the exhibit closes on June 15th!

Monet is at Wildenstein & Company
If you have the time you must check out Monet at Wildenstein & Company. This exibit features over sixty paintings from public institutions and from private collections, along with some rarely or never seen paintings. Proceeds from this exhibition will benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Unfortunately no cameras are allowed, but it was well worth the 30 minute wait to get inside. It was truly an awesome display. There is a catalogue available for purchase for $85.00. The Gallery is on 19 East 64th Street in NYC.

The Art of Noise
Does anyone remember the Art of Noise, or Max Headroom for that matter....or am I the only old person in this class. Long before American Idol's Blake Lewis, was the original "Beat Box" by the Art of Noise. Yeah I am dating myself, but what the heck. Here is the Original Beat Box video doing the original beat box...
This is just one of their many cool songs and video's....enjoy

Aurora Borealis
Aren't these pictures simply amazing? What a great opportunity it must be to be able to see the Aurora Borealis, otherwise known as the Northern Lights in person. These beautiful lights in the sky can only be seen in the northern sky in the north hemisphere. These pictures were taken in Alaska and Canada. Imagine how absolutely beautiful they must be in person. Thanks to these beautiful photographs, we can get an idea of what they are like. Shooting these spectacular lights is not an easy task either.

Check out this Amazing 3-D Art
Julian Beever is an English chalk artist who creates chalk drawings on pavement. He creates the illusion of three dimensions when viewed from the right location. These trompe-l'oeil drawings are created using a projection called anamorphosis and appear to defy the laws of perspective. Check these out:
