There's Art in the Meadowlands

Who ever thought that so much art existed in the Meadowlands? Today I took a walk in DeKorte State Park. I never knew so much beautiful art exisited right in my own neighborhood. After today, I decided that I need to buy myself "a real camera"...and perhaps take a lesson or two on how to use it. My digital camera, as good as it is in its own way, just could not seem to capture the true beauty of what is hidden inside the Meadowlands. From the NYC skyline in the background to the peaceful waters with its vast amount of birds and beauty, the Meadowlands truly does have a lot to offer. I could even catch a glimpse of my church's steeple just over one of the hills. Here is just some of the beauty that exists in DeKorte State Park.

Celebrate Life........stop and take some
time to enjoy the simple things that life has to offer! Slow down.....Look around............Take a walk in the park........or on the beach............Take a ride on a swing........listen to the birds..........look at spring blooming everywhere

Art is everywhere!

ART TO ME

I am definitely not an artist, and before taking this class, I never gave any thought to what art was and/or what it meant to me. To me however, art is many things, it is my daughters, who are my inspiration, it is my garden in the spring and how it comes back each year more beautiful than the year before, it is the drawings of my students and the smiles on their faces, it is a photograph or picture of a flower or a butterfly, a quiet beach, a sunset....just to name a few. I know I will look at art differently now than I have in the past and perhaps have a greater understanding and appreciation for different kinds of art....
